Dancing and music have always been a part of Jeff’s life, being a fan of Michael Jackson since he started walking! Coming from a social Hip-Hop dancing background, the transition to Latin dancing might seem odd to the public but actually, it made perfect sense. His journey started back in 2010, when he discovered Cuban Salsa and shortly after Bachata through Cuban Salsa Ireland school.
And Alex has always dreamt of becoming a dancer since childhood. Her journey started back in 2009, learning Salsa and Bachata through Josh’s Salsa school and also Cuban Salsa Ireland. Alongside her dance passion, Alex is also a qualified Zumba and aerobic fitness instructor!
Together they have travelled all over the world following their dance passion, participating, teaching and competing in international congresses, and continuously learning the rich diversity of Latin culture. They have dedicated their time in sharing their dance knowledge and passion in Dublin through teaching and contributing to social dancing community.
Both Jeff & Alex established Dublin Touch in Dec 2015, after experiencing Bachata culture first hand in the Dominican Republic back in 2014. They independently run and direct the group, which is a Bachata dance team that is part of Island Touch Dance Academy family and is taught choreographies created by world famous Ataca & La Alemana. Since November 2017 they’re now based in Kuala Lumpur, and now part of the teaching panel at Sapphire Dance Company. And just recently they have launched Kuala Lumpur Touch, exciting times ahead for Bachata dance and music in Malaysia!
